The Working Group for Rights of Children Without Families

The Working Group has developed four goals during the 2009 World Forum:

1. Publish a book with the help of the World Forum, the Indonesian Government and the board of Pikler/Lóczy Fund USA. This book will include stories from our group who are working in Hungary, Belize, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Indonesia and France.

2. Build a network of Children’s Homes throughout the world and link with them to share information with each other as well as support.

3. Organize a conference for those working in institutions to further aid their training and education.

4. Send a delegation to the United Nations to voice our resolution that these children be given every opportunity to live in an environment that is safe, nurturing and receive responsive care from trained, educated adults. This training and care will give them the opportunity to become a contributing member of our society.
